Elevation New Homes have recently been instructed by Paradigm Housing Group on two major developments in the area, offering a selection of exciting new homes, all for sale on the popular shared ownership scheme.
So how does it work? You purchase a share of a new property and pay a subsidised rent on the share you don’t own. Typically, the part you do own will be funded by a mortgage and savings. Over time, you can buy greater shares until you own the property outright, a process called ‘staircasing’. Shared ownership is a part buy, part rent scheme but it doesn’t mean you have to share your home with someone else!
